Failure to do so may result in forfeit of day ticket, or possible loss of MKAA card. 2. Shall NOT fish from the first two pegs on the dam wall due to DANGER of overhead electricity cables, fishing is from the Other permanent pegs only. 3. Shall NOT drive/park vehicles on the property except in the entrance car park. 4. Shall NOT bring guns [including replicas, air rifles/air pistols and BB guns] crossbows, bows and arrows or any other weapon onto the property, or leave litter or any other rubbish on the property – take it home with you – or have litter at their peg..even if that means clearing any present BEFORE starting to fish – or cut or damage vegetation or damage the property in any other way or light fires or use barbecues of any sort. 5. Shall carry their valid Environment Agency rod licence and purchase a non-transferable day ticket for this fishery. 6. Shall if aged 14 or under be accompanied by a responsible adult [someone aged 18 or over] at ALL times when on the property. 7. Shall NOT be on the property [including the car park] during the hours of darkness. Night fishing is NOT allowed here and is theft/attempted theft. 8. Shall use ONLY one rod, line and hook at a time to fish in a normal sporting manner. At discretion of the bailiff, a day ticket holder may be allowed to purchase a second ticket to fish a second rod [from the same peg as the first]. 9. Shall return ALL fish alive and use only barbless or micro-barbed hooks. Welfare of fish must be paramount at ALL times. No fish to be removed from the property. NO FISH OR CRUSTACEANS TO BE ADDED to the lake. Such additions [even small numbers] are illegal and risk spreading potentially fatal diseases. NOTE: LEGAL action will be taken against anyone breaking this rule. Anglers must take maximum care of catches, retaining fish for a minimal time – shall NOT retain more than 40lbs [18 kilo] in a single keepnet at any one time. It may be necessary to use more than one keepnet, or to weigh and release catches every time the limit is approached. Keepnets must NOT be smaller than the legal minimum size, As per Environment Agency Anglian Region current byelaws minimum allowable keepnet size is 2 metres long with a minimum circumference of 1.2 metres [equal to a minimum ring diameter of 381mm or 15 inches for round nets]. They must be of soft “knotless” material with no hole in the mesh larger than 25mm [1 inch]. In interests of fish welfare if using keepnets, please use only those considerably LARGER than the legal minimum length and width. 10. Shall reduce the risk of transferring infections to and from the lake by using net dip facility, when arriving and leaving [for all nets including weigh slings] when it is provided. Guidance: dips require at least 5 minutes immersion of nets to take effect. The best practical way to minimise risk is to rinse nets through in clean tap water after use and dry them for at least 48 hours [preferably in sunlight]. Anyone arriving with wet nets WILL NOT be allowed to take them onto the fishery and may be refused access altogether. 11. Shall NOT USE fixed leads and feeders which cannot be released on break-off or so-called “bent hooks”, bait boats, marker floats, spods, gaffs [illegal] or “beaccaster” set ups. 12. Shall humanely DESTROY any Red Signal Crayfish caught, disposing of them appropriately – DO NOT throw the bodies into the lake – its illegal and can result in eggs surviving to hatch. 13. Shall comply with any fishery, or section of, closures including those for match reservations whether advertised or not.
