93-acre canal feeder reservoir for the Leicester Line of the Grand Union Canal.

Take the A50 from Northampton, before reaching the A14/A50 interchange turn right onto dirt track, follow track round to entrance of large quarry/dump. Go through the gate on the left and take first left into a field, which is used as a car park. The fishery is over the stile on the far side of the field.

Day ticket £6 [one rod] and £10 [two rods, 12 hours either day or night], 24hr ticket [2 rods] £20. Oap/Disabled/Juniors under 16 £4 [one rod] and £8 [two rods]. Match pegs £6 per peg.

Bream to 10lbs, carp to 35lbs, catfish to 65lbs, perch to over 1lb, pike over 30lbs, roach over 2lbs, rudd, tench to 10lbs and trout to 8lbs.

No barbed hooks or two hook rigs. Pike season from 1st October to 31st March. unhooking mats to be used at all times. Night fishing allowed, but booked in advance.Maximum size 8 hooks. No metal tins or cans. No litter. Anglers catching catfish are asked to call British Waterways 24-hour emergency line 0800 4799947 and to hold onto fish until collection and transferred to a licence venue.

Rules on keepnets; 1] All keepnets are to be pegged out. 2] No carp to be kept in keepnets. 3] Silver fish only to be kept in keepnets. 4] No fish to be retained longer than 5 hours. 5] At first signs of distress fish to be returned to the water. 6] During spells of hot weather or high winds keepnets should not be used. 7] In event of continued fish mortality then the use of keepnets will be banned. 

Nell Bridge Coarse Fishery, Aynho [Last updated 19/07/09]

Three-lake fishery, Carp Lake is 5 acres with depths upto 6ft. New Lake and Old Lake are both 1-acre in size and have 20 pegs. There is also has a section of River Cherwell.

From Aynho take the B4100 to Adderbury and Banbury, go over M40 and look for farm on left opposite Kings Sutton turning.

Carp Lake carp to 28lbs, perch to 3lbs, pike to 18lbs and roach to 2lbs. New Lake Carp to 26lbs, perch over 3lbs, roach to 2lbs, rudd over 1lb and tench to 7lbs. Old Lake Bream, carp to 23lbs, perch over 1lb, roach over 2lbs.

Fishing is February to October with normal close season rules applying to River Cherwell. No night fishing. Barbless hooks only. Under-16s to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Two rods allowed on Carp Lake. No keepnets [except in matches]. Unhooking mats to be used on the Specimen Lake. Minimum 8lb line on Specimen Lake. No bait boats. Anglers must possess a current EA rod licence. No poles or keepnets allowed on Carp Lake.

No Boilies. No hemp. Moderate use of groundbait. No nuts.

Parking is close to all lakes.
