Ecton Complex Northampton

100 acre complex that Consists of four  lakes, Clover Lake [5 ½ acres], Ecton Big Lake [38 acres], Glebe Lake and Jigsaw Lake at 18 acres and one and a half miles of the River Nene.

Take A45 from Northampton, at Earls Barton interchange leave A45, turn right at mini roundabout and take bridge over A45. Directly after bridge turn right onto dirt track, follow for 1.5 miles to fishery. The complex offers secure parking behind locked barriers and vehicle access close to your swim on most parts of the lakes.

12-month season tickets [officially starting 1st May] are available individually for each lake.
Joint memberships for more than one lake and “All Lakes” ticket are also available.

Clover Lake: bream, carp, perch, pike, roach and tench.
Glebe Lake:
Jigsaw Lake: carp over 40lbs. 
Ecton Big Lake: bream into double figures, carp over 40lbs, pike, tench over 11lbs.
River Nene:
carp to 25lbs, chub to 5lbs, pike to 20lbs.

No fires.
No litter.
3 rods maximum.


No bait bans, common sense to be used though.

Spring fed 50-acre fishery with 1.5 miles of bank fishing and 16 boats for hire.

Take A45 from Northampton to A605. At Thrapston take A6116 Corby road, after ¾ of a mile take right turn to Aldwincle, the sign for the fishery is just before village on sharp left hand bend, take immediate right turn to lodge and lake is situated at bottom of farm track.

Brown and rainbow trout.

Fishing allowed from 20th February to 31st December from 7.00am until one hour after sunset.
Fishing must cease or a second ticket purchased once a limit bag has been reached, there are no second day tickets allowed on stocking days.
On way to limit bag fish may be returned only if shaken off whilst still in water.
Boat anglers must have life jackets in boats before leaving shore, its is also compulsory for children under 16 to wear a life jacket and relevant safety advice must be read before going afloat.
Anglers may use their own outboard motors and float tubes.
Wading is permitted, but anglers are asked to show consideration towards other fishermen.
No trolling.
Anglers are reminded that they require an EA rod licence.
